I have ps2 (V7/39001)with matrix mx4 that pre-flashed with 1.54 firmware.
Yesterday I try to up-grade with 1.68 firmware but it's dosn;t work,
now my ps2 is hang in matrix logo, some body help me please....

Sounds like you have a fake matrix infinity, which means that when you update the firmware the chip fries

I had a similar problem with a DMS4 chip, either the image was burned wrong or corrupt or the flash didn't work. I hope that something like that is the case, a fried chip would suck.

I've never heard of a fake DMS4, although I won't be surprised if there was one out there. The matrix infinity fakes are everywhere though. The real matrix infinity firmware is famous for frying the chips when used with a fake one

Oh, the chip wasn't a fake, something just got screwed up somewhere during the flash upgrade process.

but....?! how did (the fake one) work with MX firmware 1.54,the fake maker must have some tool to inject/flash ?
In indonesia that the contry i live no original MX, the fake MX work very fine and not alotof money for that (10 $us include labor), but I like to reinstal the broken one with real MX. How can Iget it ?....

The chip came with 1.54 already on it. You might try getting a different/new copy of the 1.68 and try re-flashing it. There also might be someone who has the 1.54 version stashed somewhere, but if the chip's fried, then a new one is the only cure.
