2.0-2.6 all suppport eloader, as long as you have GTA.

2.7 blocks out any kind of homebrew probably for a very long time so don't upgrade to it no matter what.

well it's too late for me. i didn already. when i didn't have 1.5 to begin with, I figured I was fucked anyways. I bought my brothers PSP at Christmas though so his is only 2.6
