I'm trying to play Tales of Legendia NTSC version (bought from store) on a PAL console. I load up the swap magic 3.8 cd disc and wait for the menu screen. Use the slide tool, switch discs, close tray and press x. It takes me to the ?choose video mode? screen. Now I've tried choosing both Pal and NTSC modes and NEITHER work. It just shows a white screen with a black memory card, then a red screen saying please insert a PS2 format disc?!

Please help me - what am I doing wrong!?! I've wanted to play this game for so long... :(

That game is a dvd game, so you need to use the swap magic dvd. Also, you said "close tray", how exactly are you doing it? You need to push the tray back in and use the slide card to pull the peg back to the left.
