Hy:
Recently i've aquired a new video camera (SONY DCR-DVD-101). The camera is good but is very complicated for capturing video to my pc. There are 3 ways for capturing:
1) Capturing analogically: I have a P4 @2.8, 512 Ram, 120 GB PC with FX5200 video capturing card. Once in a while i could capture some videos but now i can't. Recently i've resseted my pc for that purpose, but still i can't. For capturing the Nvidia card uses the software Movie Factory 2.0. When i try to capture video appears the message "Cannot switch to camera mode. Check your capturing controller is working correctly" (or something like this). I've reinstalled the controllers of the video card, all the software and also i've downloaded the last capturing controllers form nvidia.com. Any idea?
2) The second way to capture is vía USB. I can connect my camera to my pc vía USB and copy the videos to my Pc using the software PIXELA Image Mixer (wich is the worst editing software i've seen).
3) The third way is to finalize the DVD disc on the camera and run it into the pc. That works only if you have a software capable of importing DVD's for editing (like Movie Factory 2.0, wich is -for me- a little bit better than PIXELA).
Here is my problem:
I want to use a better program for editing. I have Premiere Pro 7 and Premiere Elements 2.0. Premiere Elements 2.0 have the function for Importing DVD's. The problem is that, when i render my movie, it looses a lot of quality. I've moved all the posible parameters for rendering and the results are almost the same (pixelated when, in an angle, the camera is moved). I've tried to edit using Premiere Pro 7 with the videos imported using PIXELA (capturing method #2). The results are exactly the same. I've also tried to export at all the possible formats (Avi, mov, mpeg2, dvd...) but i can't find how to export with good quality. I've also check/uncheck the "Interlaced frames" having no results.
I guess the problem is in the software, because i've tried to do the same with PIXELA and it works. It converts, process and creates a new file with good quality. Could be the problem in the Adobe's software? Or maybe in the file properties? Could anybody help me?
Thanks.
