Hello,

I have been burning with DVD shrink and then Nero6 for over a year. I have a Sony DRX-710UL and use TDK DVD+R. For over a year I have burnt to these discs and it has been fine on my PS2 and regular DVD players. All of a sudden last week, after it burns, the discs now will not work in the PS2 or certain DVD players. Any help on this?

A Nero log won't show much, except indicate a successful burn and some useful info, but....

TDK DVD+R...These guys are lousy and inconsistant, stick to verbatim media.

You don't state at what speed you burn at, but try to keep it at no greater than 1/2 the rated speed of the media, never set to MAX.

Make sure that the burner's firmware is upto date, you can use the Nero info tool to check what version you have and get an update here if needed;

Just enter the model# in the search field.

If you want to greatly increase compatibility between media and player, try booktyping those DVD+Rs as DVD-ROMs. Your burner has to support this feature and you can only do it to +R media. Here's some info on it;
