I have over 2000 songs on my computer and it is starting to get slow. I want to store them on or in a place where if I lost them some how I would still have them. I have an ipod and they are on it (60GB) but there is that chance that it could mess up and I would loose them on it. Which would be better copying (not burning) the songs onto like 20 cd-r's or compressing the files and sending them to one of my email addresses or both?

I think it would be better if u could compress them into a small (large based on the # of songs u have) archive and sned them to yourself, that way you dont have to waste money on cd-rs(although 1 dvd may have enough space for 2000 songs, 2 dvds for sure)
