i used dvdfab decrypter to get the movie to use on dvd shrink and then i encoded it but when i got to burn it the file it too big what a good program thats easy to used to shorten the movie up to fit on my 4.7 gb dvd??

Sorry I have not used shrink for a very long time.

As you have the movie on your HDD open the movie with shrink make sure the compression setting is on automatic and click on re-author (so you have movie only) and drag the movie to the left. then continue as you usually would.

Did you set your target file size in your preferences to 4334. If you are having trouble with output size then just run your file through Shrink a second time.

ok i tried to use a program to short the movie after using dvd fab secrypter and i still can't burn it to dvd disc after encoding with shrink and using Nero... im getting so lost and confused... why can't there be just one program or no protection things

Use AnyDVD with clonedvd2 that will solve all your problems.

Here is a guide using DVDFab Decrypter and DVDShrink just substitute Nero instead of DVDDecrypter to burn.

File may have some dummy Vobs in it. It may require Vobblanker between DVDFab and Shrink. May also just be a very big original DVD. I could not backup Best of American Idol Seasons 1-4 in its entirety, because it was too big for Shrink to compress. I had to reauthor and remove some stuff before it would work on dubbing the main program only.
