I have two big binders which hold 208 DVDs each.
Do you think that they will get warped or damaged? Because of the weight of the others pushing on the ones on the bottom.

Or do you think that because they stack straight on top of each other, that there will no warping?

I want to store my DVDs for the long term... any suggestions? or should I just save money and stick with the CD binder method?

I was thinking about getting a BIG shelf but I think that it will cost too much and take up too much space.

if you keep them vertical, then there's no weight on it....which is how the cd binder is supposed to be ;)

I use these too. DO keep these vertical so there is no weight on them. I have no issues with this form of storage. It saves space & protects your back-ups too.

Use The Best Media for The Best Burns! TYs, Verbs,(Made in Taiwan) Sony MIJs (YUDEN000 T02), Sony Made in Taiwan DVD+R 16x, Maxell MIJ, RITEK G05.

I use a aluminum storage case that holds 600 discs and has numbers on each sleeve i use an Excel spreadsheet and number them in the same order as the case, u'd probably think that it would be hard to keep track of them cause they wouldnt be in alphabetical order but if you use the find tool in excel type in the name of the disc you are looking for it will tell you the exact cell. i got mines for $20 with shipping on ebay a while back alot of the ones listed on their cost about $26 without shipping for starting bids. they also have one for $48.00 at SMS that comes with a wheels.

thanks~ I'm glad to hear that this method works.
It sure beats spending 500 dollar plus on shelves and dvd cases.

I too use the hard cases. I prefer to turn the holders and put the numbers to the back. I keep them in alaphbetal order and in turning the holders to the back it keeps everthing from being confusing when adding new movies. I use Ant Movie Catalog to keep record of the 800 + movies. It is very easy to see at a glance where they are. I printed out the list and keep that in an easy to get to 3 ring binder. It works for me. Only have to print out new movies everyso often. Love the cases for traveling as I have two homes and makes it great to go back and forth!
