did you by chance download the nimo codec pack?
I am not too sure about this but ive heard that the nimo codec pack has so many codecs that i guess it conflicts with the codecs you really need. Im not too sure about this for i havent downloaded the pack nor do i intend too. what i suggest is you uninstall the pack and to download only the codecs you need or is essential. Also another factor to your problems may be with an older version of ffdshow (im assuming that you have ffdshow installed. either get rid of it altogether or uninstall and install a newer version.

Life is but a dream...so wake me up already!!!
