Ok I used Winhiip to format a 200gb samsung. I checked the capatability and someone else reported it working. I put 2 games on the hard drive to test and see if I could play them. I have a PS2 version 4 modded with a DMS 4 lite. I hold down start and the screen blinks red then after about 10 seconds takes me to the browser page. Is there something else I need to do??? Im not new to modding but am very new to using a HDD and my PS2 so any help would be great!

Is HDD Explorer installed on the drive? This is the program that must be installed to view the contents of the drive and apparently the only one that holding start to enter HDD Dev.olution will open. Also, with a 200Gb non-Sony HD, ATAD auto-patching must be enabled.

there are forums that are just for people with DMS chips
The best to use with a hard drive is the DMS4 Pro since the lite version doesn'y have all the tools needed. You may need HD Loader.

Yeah I gave up and just ordered a DMS4 Pro. But now does anyone know where I can sell my DMS4 lite. It works just fine and has the bios on it already.

not really. since you can not sell them on ebay
Teammodders.com has a buy,sell,trade forum but most people there already have chips. Sell it to someone you know.
