hi, i'm a newbie and need a little help. i've been to afterdawn before just browsing through forums and etc. and found very useful stuff, but can't seem to find something that'll help my problem. i've been using Riverpast video cleaner pro to convert ogm files to avi and it works great. but now, i've tried converting mkv files to avi and errors keep popping up and the whole application closes. I've looked at the guides, downloaded the approriate codecs, but still can't get Riverpast to work. any help would be very much appreciated!

Is it supposed to support mkv's? Have you tried their technically support?

Otherwise, just use something else.

i just uninstalled riverpast (i went to their official website in the faqs section on how to fully uninstall riverpast), and i uninstalled all the codecs especially the codec packs like DivX, matroska, cole2k, , Nimo, Indeo, etc. Then I just installed DivX, matroska and Tobias' OGG Vorbis DirectShow filters and finally installed riverpast again. and it's working again, for some odd reason. I think i had major codec issues. hope this helps
