If you know the risks, try this ONCE and ONLY ONCE and let us know if it works. You have only 5 tries and then it will be hard locked. After that you will need a cable thing-a-me-jiggy to unlock it. It should still work on your Network so no big loss.

Remove sim first,power on the phone.
After the phone boots up, press #
Press * 3 times fast for (p) \
Press * 4 times fast for (w) IMPORTANT
Press * 2 times fast for (+) /

IMPORTANT!!
Verify code before pressing the last #.

Note: Some Phones require that you to insert a non accepted sim, you will see "phone restricted", press UNDO option and enter the code in the restriction box and press enter.)

"Phone restrictions off", it's unlocked.
"Error code" wrong code.
"Not allowed" hard locked. Used up all your free tries!!

The 6280 is a BB5 Nokia which means you will

need to try and get your code from the

original service provider. You will have to

pay for this. There is no other way I know

of (at this time) to unlock it.
