hello there,im new to psp i need some info and help on a couple of points,firstly i bought a new 1.5 psp and have got the fastloader program and some iso's on disk,but i have not got a clue of how to install them and need an step by step guide of how to do this,ive got everything i need(usb lead and software files).I have no games to play at all and was frustrated at not knowing how to install files, i purchased gta liberty city storys only to find that i have to upgrade to 2.0 to play it(which i donot want to do),is they a way around this....many thanks...martyn.
yea, you're gonna want a whole list of things. But first thing's first: Get rid of fast loader b/c that's only for 1.50 ISOs. You're gonna want DAXZISO to load your UMDs.
Here is a complete list of the things you'll need: (Some items are optional)
UMD RIPPER: Put the UMD game you want as an ISO (backup) in the PSP. Go to your PSP menu all the way over to GAME. Hit X and then select UMD Ripper and let it do it's thing. Make sure you have plenty of space on your memory card. Especially for GTA:LCS. (You'll need AT LEAST a 1Gigabyte MS) However, if you want to just use the UMD game and you don't want to make an ISO out of it, you'll have to use MPHGAMELOADER. (Don't use RunUMD or G3N3SIS RunUMD b/c GTA:LCS will freeze on you every ten minutes) Here is UMD Ripper:

YAUIS: (Yet Another UMD ISO Shrinker) You're gonna need this, too. Especially if you want to make your ISOs smaller. Hey, some ppl don't, believe it or not.
PGO (PSP Game Organizer - this thing rocks! It pushes all corrupt icon data to the bottom of your homebrew list. Plus, you can put games in any order you want to) Download here:

Fired Up Browser:

Be sure to remember to put all of your ISOs in a folder on the root of your memory stick (The first screen you see when you open up your PSP on your computer) call the folder "ISO". Other READ MEs from the diff things you need to download will explain how to do this in more detail.

Oh one more thing: If you would like to get GTA:LCS down to 231MB (Which is the smallest size you'll ever get it down to) follow my tutorial. But be aware of the fact that in shrinking this ISO in this method, you won't be able to play missions. (You can still use YAUIS to shrink if you still wanna do missions)This is just for the ppl who have beaten the game who just like roaming around and causing trouble with the cops. If you want to play missions then DON'T follow the tutorial.
