hi i got bought a music umd im on a 1.5 it was bought in australia and im in uk but it says its all regions it wants me 2 update. is there any way around it iv tried run umd iv tried using dax. maybe iv got the wrong settins or sumfin but if ne1 has successfully done it can they tell me usin what and with what settings thanks

Try the RunUMD GENESIS version. Don't do anything in UMDEMULATOR. Just load through the homebrew icon in your game menu.

Otherwise, what you want to do is make an ISO out of it. In that case, you're going to need a bunch of stuff:

UMD RIPPER:

MPH Firmware Launcher: (b/c you need the flash files from v2.00)

MPHGAMELOADER: (Loads ISOs from v2.00 and above. Follow the READ ME)

Decrypt PRX: (You might need this)

UMDGEN: (To create ISOs)
http://www.umdgen.com

DAXZISO: (To load your ISOs)

DevHook v0.22: (To use "Hook Boot" method... faster loading)

I think that's about all you need. Sorry, bro. If it doesn't work with RunUMD G3N3SIS, then you've got to use all the tools mentioned above. Let's hope it runs w/ G3N3SIS!

I've never ripped a movie, but this should work if you have to resort to this method. (Ripping)

no genesis didnt work which i didnt expect it 2 2 be honest as it just seems like run umd with bigger files. even when the press x to start umd or o to extract files it says run umd on it. i will try the ripping method when i get a bigger mem stick as at the moment i only have a 512 but il keep the info u gave for when i do. thanks 4 ur help
