newbie here.

Hey, I'm going to be a future PSP 1.5 firmware owner and I happened to stumble onto this website. It's one of the better ones that i've seen. I just had a quick question about which games would work with the 1.5 firmware version of the psp? the two games i'm getting with the package are ridge racer and midnight club dub mix or something. i really want to get lumines and mercury. will any of these four games (ridge racer, midnight club, lumines, or mercury) mess up my psp firmware?

Midnight Club 3 and Lumines both work on 1.5

DUB works with the UMD and the ISO and Lumines works only with the ISO.

No games will "mess up" your firmware. There are a few newer games that won't run on a 1.5 but not many.

ok thanks. yeah i've been browsing around since i've learned that i was going to get one, so i've read about some of the horror stories that people have had by playing certain games.

i've also read the 1.5 version please read post, but didn't find anything there.

i'll look into what umd and iso are, unless someone wants to tell me what it is? also, anyone know about mercury and ridge racer, will these work?

UMD stands for Universal Media Disk, UMDs are the disks that contain PSP Games,Movies and Audio.

An ISO is an image of a UMD. On firmware 1.5 or 1.0 you can put ISOs on your memory stick and play them (without having the actual UMD inserted)
