this might just be a tutorial on how to back up your games when you have the firmware update im not sure. i hope it makes so you dont have to have the firmware. if anyone tries it let me know how it goes. also if anyone knows if its only if you have the firmware update let me know.

I got one question guys, i got and ISO file from my backup so shall u burn the iso with any software or do i extract de content in there, has many files, xex, and some many others, what can i do?

just burn the iso onto a dvd, Nero will do. You do need the firmware hack to play it though.

is there any way to burn backups with out taking apart the dvd drive and/or the flashing the firmware with xtreme0800.bin everytime you want to make a game. if so how do you do it. (step by step please)

go the the link at the top of ur page. the link tells step by step. and u dont open ur xbox 360 drive, only a normal dual layer dvd drive which u can get of ebay brand new by sony for £20.
u dont need to change the firmware i dont think, just apply the hacked firmware and leave it, as the xbox 360 drive is not needed to copy games. its really easy (well actually it looks easy but i havent even done it myself succesfully)

Also, is the 8 gig movie only to "get magic number", if so, is there a way to save the magic number, making it so you never need to swap the disc?

i have a dvd which is over 8gb.
i only have a external dual layer dvd writer. is there anyway of copying games without having to open this???
please help asap. i have done the hack but have no backed-up games.

if the dvd used for the swap is smaller than the game itself, will you get an error message during the "dump" of the iso? I used a 7.88 and everything seemed fine.

agent47 i am having the same problem as you. i knew that you never had to open the 360 everytime. i ment is there any way to burn a backup with out opening the dvd burner?

good question that just might work but how would you do that?
if anyone has a different way of making backups please leave a post explaining step by step

Once you dump the iso to your hardrive, you have one crucial step before being able to play it on your hacked xbox. During the dump, you lose the "security sectors" of the xbox game, kinda like the dna$ for playing playstation games online... Anyway, you must insert the SS files back into the game before burning, or you'll be making a nice new shiney Coaster.
Download SS merger:
http://dwl.xbox-scene.com/xbox360pc/isotools/XBOX360_SS_Merger_1....
then download the SS:
http://www.ubclass.org/X360SS/
Now open merger, find the iso, find the .bin file you downloaded, click "xbox" (it should already have it selecter, but hey... never know.) Now click merge. Then burn using cloneCD 2-2.4X speed.
NOW you can play on your xbox 360. I hope this helps.

ok how do you know you have a dvd big enough to copy the game. i mean the dvd before copying the game when looking for magic number.
i have a dvd 7.38gb and i am trying to back-up fifa 06 road to world cup (PAL)
error comes up in WX_Ripper :
Error @ 0 : Data error (cyclic redundancy check).
any ideas wot this could mean?

Hey ronnie101, wehen you mean ISO you mean the .dvd image? or you mean a proper ISO image? if so, can you use clone cd to burn xxx.ISO images??

sorry I mixed 2 methods there....
When using ss merger 1.5o it doesn't create a .dvd file to burn in clone cd. The xtreme pack has a good instruction doing it that method
As to the ss merger 1.5o method, i havn't tried to burn one yet, someone do it and throw it in Nero and burn the .iso and get back to us.

And if i have a PAL system, Can i play NTSC backup games, or i can only play PAL games?
