It's either a disk defect or more like a copy protection problem on the disk.

Are you using AnyDVD or DVDFab Decrypter? Either is usually capable of overcoming advanced copy protection schemes. DVDFab Decrypter is free and AnyDVD has a free trial.

I have AnyDVD, but it doesn't always work. Is there anything I could try to do?

How long has it been since you updated AnyDVD? The current version is 5.9.6.1 and was released on May 13.

I have never seen AnyDVD not work as long as it is up to date. If AnyDVD isn't working, you likely have other problems.
