Canon GL2 w/ wireless mic question/help???

I have a Canon GL2 and I purchased the aftermarket Canon MA-300 microphone adapter so I can use the XLR jacks. My problem is, I am not getting stereo sound when I hook up my wireless mics or shotgun mics. Am I overlooking a seeting on the camera or MA-300 or is this just the way the GL-2 is wired, in mono? Thank you for your help and suggestions.
