Ok, so lately we have seen a few things happen that are a little worrying for p2p users! This thread is aimed at getting all kinds of tips from everyone as to how you can increase your security!!

First of all, the one thing you need to do for definate is make sure that you are blocking ip's and ip ranges from potentially bad people like the RIAA and MPAA! So this is dont quite easily!! Download and install PeerGuardian from http://www.methlabs.org/

Keep this program running whenever you are using p2p!!

Now for a firewall, some problems may arise like the firewall may kill your p2p app. Thats not very nice!! ZoneAlarm pro likes to kill eMule! lol. So have a look at a few different firewalls!

If you dont want your isp blocking your eMule client port, then change it to 80, trust me they wont block 80!

Main site is back up now. Peer guardian works with eMule, got this today
