Booting ELF's Using Swapmagic Off USB Stick

Well, I've read the tutorial which states:

"Re-Name uLaunch Elf to SWAPMAGIC.ELF", and I have placed it in the appropriate folder in the root of the memory stick.

The problem is, swap magic boots up and the memory stick is accessed, the screen goes black and then im returned to the ps2 browser screen.

Can anyone shed any light on how to boot ULaunch ELF so I can then proceed to load whichever elf's I like off my usb stick.

I'd appreciate any help anyone can give.
