How Can I Install a PC dvd-rom drive to my ps2 ?

I think if installing a hdd to ps2 is possible so is a dvd-rom , i saw a xbox once at a shop working on a dvd-rom drive ,i think that pc drives can read better than these lenses.

To stay out of trouble, edit your post instead of making a new one. As far as I know you're not going to get a pc drive into the PS2. An Xbox is built more like a traditional PC. If you are having ongoing problems with the lens, even after changing it out, it might be something else that's happening to cause it to go bad.

well there is another prob. i live in saudi arabia here in sa people r dumb these ps2 repairing shopes r jokes. befo' i enter the shop and talk he says you need a new lens.
any way thanks 4 ur replies i will look into that hdd thing i think i can spare a hdd from my pc.

An HDD will help as far as playing games, but it doesn't solve the problems.
Plus the only way you have to put games on it would be to take it out of the PS2 and put it in the computer every time you want to install a game on it. Or you would have to set up a network between the PC and PS2 so you could FTP (transfer) the files through a cat5 crossover cable. And you will need to buy a program caolled HD Advance to run the games from the hard drive.
If you can send it to the UK there are some good online shops there that could most likely fix your problems.
