I have a slimline PS2, buying swap magic is not an option. I have a GS v1.1, I have tried the game EINHANDER patched with ASA Patcher. I understand I need to keep the ps2 from knowing that I opened the cd thing, but how? I can shut it a little and the cd will spin, then I take the gs cd out at the "insert disc" and try ti insert the backup memorex cd-r, I think I can get it in with it opened a little like that, but after it starts spinning it stops after awhile. The GS screen still works, and when I tell it to start the game again, it acts like I never clicked it, taking me back to the gs main menu.

Sorry for my bad english.

Is that a ps1 game also? You need BreakerPro, its kinda like a Swap Magic disk, if u dont have a mod chip in ur ps2.

I understand if its no, and thank you for your help, is it but neccesary to buy another thing to work it? Thanks again for spending your time here and I thank all replys.

It would be possible to boot if u had a gameshark that was made for the ps2, but since ur version was created for the ps2, it is compatible with booting ps1 backups. If u by any chance have an old gameshark from a ps1, ur good to go. Only other option I am aware of is Breaker Pro.

I'm not quite sure about the CDX, but I know it worked on the ps1 when u wanted to play backups without a chip, its worth a shot!

EDIT - Just did a search, and seems that the CDX version will work, let me know how it turns out:)
