Hey guys i just stumbled upon this PSP modchip thing now that really sucks u know.
Bcuz many ppl have spent extra money for a 1.5 PSP for example ppl have bought the consoles for a lot more than what they should cost from ebay

ummm... ok.
i think its great for everyone. i traded a 360 for a psp, 7 games a 1 gig stick and a 20gb ipod... and even if i did buy one... id still wouldnt be pissed because an awesome mod came out for it that benefits all psp owners... now us 1.5 people can play the latest games.

This is pathetic thousands of ppl spent over 200$ for getting a 1.5 PSP from ebay and then we hear of a godamm modchip i myself spent over 250$ for 1.5 PSP and now i feel pissed off!
I think i better sell off my 1.5 soon!
As long as it has got value!
S*** on the face of the makers of the modchip:(

There is no mod chip for the PSP, there was talk of one a while ago released with a really crappy blurred picture that was a load of nonsense.
Unless you know something we don't.

Ooo a new one :)
Well I payed a little bit more for my 1.5 but what the hell. If it means everyone gets to play homebrew and ISO's then good luck to them.
Ifit turns out to be genuine then it will be interesting to see what further info is released. How it fits, soldering, wiring etc etc

Hey guys i still think that only the 1.5psps can play isos even with the modchip in the PSP thats what i think.But still i think its all gonnna be a big fake but if its true i hate it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't bother selling or chiping 1.5, even if you had modchip there is no point as you will not be able to make back ups of UMD's
Back ups like for PS2's as in using DVD-R's and for PSP's you can't make Back up's of UMD's in a UMD as you can not wright into a UMD, If there was UMD Writers out there and Blank UMD's, then Sony will make the PSP not able to play them if there games, so the Modchip should of came ages ago. But since no one but Sony can write to UMD's, therefore chucks out the need for a modchip which will allow playing backup's like which they did with the PS2/Xbox/GB. Never the less, thats why we have ISO's and 1.5
And the Modchip is a Flash replacement allowing to probally just get 1.5 and 2.7 together, so it will still probally have its limitations as it is only hacking and changing the Flash which will fix so many bricked psp's (Probally).

it might make it a lot easier to play isos and it might also make it a lot easier to run umds that require higher firmware. eg. i wanna play by sfa3m umd and be able 2 save!!

It would allow homebrew thus the iso emulators will be able to work.

Its different. And I do believe this modchip may be legitimate, I just don't know if its worth it for us psp 1.5 users to get at all. I mean Im not going to go out and buy more umds. the only game that i cant play that i want to play is splinter cell essentials. so why would i chip my psp and go buy the umd jus for one game. its not that serious to me ya kno.

im on 1.5 but i will get cos theres a lotta games i wanna play that dont work or work completely... and i just read a little while ago that the chip will b able 2 have a firmware installed that plays isos directly and like generally without problems

@joeva: Theres actually another advantage of having modchip rather than just playing splinter cell.. >> FLASH GAMES<< lol... ya im jk.. lol but if rumors are true about 3.0 u cud emulate ps1 and play isos =D
