I have heard in somes threads of many forums that lots of MS users that have ps2 scph 5000x series are having trouble booting ps2 CD-R Backups.

I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM, so my question is ...

DOES SWAP MAGIC CD 3.0 ( 3.2 USA BUILD ) works with ps2 50001 ?

I am starting to think that is not compatible ... :/

PD: Teh DVD version works greatly ...

ya, it is compatiable. Are u trying to play cd-r ps2 games or ps1 games? Heres a link that might help if ur having trouble with a particular game:

Ps2 CD-R

I a friend gave me a Marvel vs Capcom 2 Backup, and Swap Magic didnt loaded it, i checked that page ( swapmagicfix ), it says that it needs CDLoader v7, i burnt it, and it didnt loaded with swap magic cd :/

What kind of cd-rs r u using? Since it is not working on both of ur systems, it might be a media issue

U are loading the SM cd, then the cd loader v7, then the backup correct? Sounds dumb, but wanna make sure ur goin in the right steps.

PS - If worst comes to worst, u can upgrade ur SM set, heres a link:

What i tried to say its that CDLoaders doesnt load x(!
I will try to use another brand of cd-r ...
