duo 2 gt chip not working for me!

I installed a duo 2 gt chip today into a perfectly good V7 ps2. I followed the diagrams very carefully. I tested each connection for gaps, shorts, and/or bridging as I went along and after the whole project was completed, twice (3 times total). All my external connectors check out good. All my internal connectors look good and are properly in their places. It shows no video, except for a quick little flash across the screen when powered on/off. no boot up, no sound, nothing. the little mod chip led wont come on. It will spin back up games (DVD) for a couple of seconds, then stop. It will spin original ps2 game indefinatly. I'm new to ps2 modding, but I've been soldering and making my own circuit boards for many many years. Can somebody please give me a clue! nbkshark@yahoo.com

Check connections P, O, N, M again. Both times it wouldn't show video with mine, it was because of those. Believe me, I know the kind of frustration that these things can bring. I've been working on mine for like 2 weeks now and I still haven't gotten it working. PS2 modding is a pain in the neck..
