I've been using ConvertXtoDVD for a while now...but recently i only just watched what i burned, there is several things wrong with the burnt DVDs...

1)At the beginning/end of a chapter the picture freezes for about a second but sometimes does other things like pictures becomes very distored

2)The picture is not all accutally displayed on the screen...a small bit of the left and right edges is missing...

Just so you know: I used OPTODISC(<-Disc ID) discs which aren't the best in the world but not terrible...
I burnt at 4x...
Burnt at 16:9 PAL which is all suitable for my area/TV
Also the saved .VOB files seem to play fine on the computer

Thanks for any help

That says it all. Its the media you are using.
You should try to burn on a good disc as a taiyo yuden or a verb.
You will notice the diference straight away. :)

Hmmm...thanks will try have some Verbatim discs now but didn't at the time of burning...but still...seems strange that both discs should have the exact same problems...and also about the cut of sides...

Anyways will try and get back to you on it.

Converted some more files for DVD (.VOB)...whilst it was converting several times it gave a error: "ENGINE: RC Buffer underflow"

when it finished i put a Verbatim DVD-R in and told it to burn at 12x (are 16x discs) failed due to a write error.

was pretty annoyed at this but neverless i put another Verbatim disc in and this time told it to burn at 4x...at the very end it had a write error but still said it burnt sucessfully

Went to put it in the DVD player and one of the first things that happens during the first chapter is everything messes up and lags for a second then goes back about 2 seconds and stablizes...was really annoyed about this...scanned quickly thoughout the DVD and it happens serveral times :(

Getting pretty annoyed with ConvertXtoDVD now...

Any help much apriciated

EDIT:Just played the saved .VOB files would seem that they do NOT have any errors on them...But the Verbatim discs should not fail...and defiantly not twice?!

Should i try burn the DVD folder with a different program?

:O

Yeah was gonna try encode it in Nero but it crashed constantly...hopefully getting it to burn files that are already encoded won't be so difficult :)
