Can`t load Snes saving games, help!!!

Hi

I have the Snes emulator, i played Chrono trigger, the saving preasedure goes ok, but when i try to load the game, i can`t, when the game loads i press a button and it takes me to the charecter creation screen, now when i enter the game, and i go to the saving screen, I don`t see my saved game.
Its like i did not save it.
