I recently bought a camcorder that came with some award winning software (Video Impression) the software had a feature to create a VCD file !however! i tried and tried again burning the VCD file onto a DVD-R but i wouldnt work it would not play but then i a friend tipped me off i was using the wrong discs i needed to use CD-R after my friend had told me this i was off to the shops to get some cheap CD-Rs i took them home burn the video i wanted onto the disc and hey presto it was working but i didnt escape that easy my DVD player wasnt VCD enabled so i spent a month at my friends house watching my films and videos but i finally disided to go out and buy a cheap DVD player (VCD) enabled i was watching my films at home for a change

Have any other questions jst sign this

thanks for the information I have been trying to figure this out all day now. I thought maybe I had to use DVD-R's also but from reading your info guess not but I tried using CD-R's but they dont work in my DVD player either I have 2 so I am going to try the other but thanks alot for the information.

just normal windows cd writer

just send the files to your cd writer on my computer and click burn follow the instructions.

It may not be but Im not sure if its just that im not burning it right or if my DVD player is just not VCD compatable.

if you still have the box or instuctions it should tell you in there about its compatabllity CD-R dont really need a perfect speed to burn at.

Ok i dont think it will work because under the unplayable disk section it has Video CD thats the same think right?
