To get to that one, you had to pass over the best in the top rows. Here is more info: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/304534

i love mars chips. mars II MA303 is very old. I used Mars III MA502 before and it was good.

The latest one is Mars Action A750/752 and they work great.

and yes, mars chips are far from the best, but they still work fine and are stable/durable. well suited for users who do not need special menus/functions other than basic hassle free booting of backups/imports.

however, with the price ur paying, you can well afford a Duo chip which more users recognize for its stability. Has nice LEDs too ;)

questions like this should surely be asked before you buy the chip, once you have it will really not matter what people think as you are already stuck with it.

Like stated it is far from top shelf. And will have no upgradeability like better chips (DMS4 Pro, Matrix Infinity, Crystal Chip V1.1)
But it may do what you need if all you want is something that plays back up games. Not sure about what features it has for games from other regions like Y Position fixes or Force NTSC/PAL modes like the better chips also have.

The Duo would be a good choice if all you want is a low priced chip that plays back ups.
But you spend $20 and you will get a $20 chip. In other words with a chip you do get what you pay for.
