So, I got a copy of SM3.8 in hopes that it would be more compatable and I would be able to load certain parts of the game that I wouldn't be able to with my SM2. I was able to load the rampart on the Pirates level (which I couldn't do with SM2), but as soon as I get to the "story battle" where monsters are chasing orlando and keira (I forget their characters' names), my game freezes. This is right after a cutscene so the red light on my DS2 controller is not on. Also, it appears that the disc stopped spinning, though I can listen to the battle music as much as I want with that wonderful black backdrop >,<
I've had similar problems at other points in the game (such as the Mulan level) which I solved by using a legit version to get around. Unfortunately, I don't have one of those around at the moment so I'm rather stuck.
Does anyone have any ideas? Also, does anyone think that burning with BlindWrite might make a difference from burning with DVD Decrypter?

(By the way, I've tried burning at slow speeds, different media, etc.)

Burned 100% successfully with Alcohol 120% on it's auto-settings that load with the .mds. It burned @ 8x.
