how do i stream the videos from my comp to my xbox.
also what programs do i need.

i have searched alot so plz dont flame

You just create a samba share folder on your PC then use XBMC to play the files inside the folder.

mjfouline, I could write a tutorial on the matter but I am sure there is already one written on this site, plus I couldn't live w/ myself if I deprived you the chance to look up "how to create a samba share for XBMC" on google or your favorite search engine. I promise you it will be absolutely painless....

So you ask for a user-friendly tutorial, find one, and then don't post the link?!? Show me please but I bet I've seen it already. It's been hell trying to get it to work for me. I've run up and down the net, back and forth editing that xml file and I still can't get it to work. If I do get it to work, I will make a manual that will be the most user friendly in the frickin' WORLD wide web. There are always some details left out, for example, do you need to put the smb share info directly under my video shares, for example,

And THEN, what do you do under the media center - do you need to set up something in the network settings under smb shares? According to the xbmc guide, you're supposed to include info in that area (the GUI).
