No Sound in Gadmei UTV 200

I have installed a Gadmei UTV 200 USB tv box on my laptop

The pictures are fine and evrything is ok but i dont get sound, there is a line out but my laptop doesnt have a line in to the sound card. I have also tried using headphones but the sound quality is very poor.

I didnt have a english manual for the installation so could there be something wrong in the installation.

by the way there is a DC in slot in the tv box but my supplier didnt give me a power supply do you need it?

please help me out
