I got a swap magic/slide card combo today as well as an NTSC-J game.

I have unclipped the front dvd flap however I can't slide the tray open.

What should I do?

What isn't working? Getting the card into position, dragging out the tray? It's quite a simple task, just follow the guide step by step found on the swap magic website and it should open without problems

Make sure your slide tool isn't upside down! Sadly, that was my problem when I first got my slide tool =P The thickened end is what you hold on to, and you start underneath the tray at the left end and slide it to the right (the hook end of the card should be leading). From there, push further to the right to eject the tray or feel the hook catch and pull back to the left to lock the tray in reading position. As others have said, it is explained on the website, but sometimes wording it a bit differently can make all the difference in the world. Hope this helped!

Thanks for the help,however I think I unclipped it wrong.
The hook doesn't catch on to anything.
I guess I'll try it on my other ps2 after school tomorrow.

Hmm yeah the server on that site is quite unstable, try again a bit later or tomorrow, otherwise look at the guide for the other languages... you really only need the pictures anyway

Yeah I know.
Unless I can get someone who has done the slide card method before I think I'll get an external modchip for it,I would not want to accidentally screw things up.
