how do I convert .mpg and .avi files to .vob files without ruining a movie. I use nero and have no idea why it won't burn my files then I realized the problem and I need to find a program that will convert the movies to different types. Please help soon I need to make a DVD fast.

You need an authoring program. I use Sonic Foundry's DVD Architect. You can also use Tmpengen DVD Authoring, DVDit, Roxio's DVD Builder or Ulead's DVD Movie Factory.
