Tevion 2800D Scart Problems

Hello,
I am trying to backup old family movies for my aunt. I have the Tevion 2800D connected with the 3 RCA cables into a RCA-Scart adapter to a VHS player. There is no picture or sound on the screen.

I have managed to connect a DVD player that has RCA outputs and get sound and video.

I think that the problem is the scart-RCA connector. I have tried a few adaptors and all dont work. Is there a setting or somthing i need to change with using the scart-RCA connector?

Can anyone offer a solution?
