I often use dvd shrink in reauthor mode, so i can just have the movie to save on picture quality

But how do i keep the original chapters?, If i can't is there a program that will either manually or automatically?

The original chapter markers shouldn't be affected by DVD Shrink. Do you not have any chapter stops in your main title after using DVD Shrink for your backup?

Personally I think using re-author is a bad idea. There are no chapters, there is no menu. A better way IMO is to blank out all the junk with vobblanker and then reduce the menus to stills with menushrink and then DVD Shrink it. This way you keep the menus but they're reduced to almost nothing in size, the chapters are kept, and you have removed previews and other stuff wasting space.

i always use reauthor mode(movie only), there is a display
button on my remote shows chapters every time..............

no menu though, my self i put in the dvd it reads it,
then starts auto...........

i can foward to any chapter i like..........

my 2 cents

The original chapter markers are undisturbed by DVD Shrink. No, you can't add any, but the originals are still there.

Do you mean one audio track? If there's only one on the disk or only one is selected when reauthoring, that's all there will be.
