Hi there all,
I successfully created my vcd out of one of dvd, but the problem I get is that when I play it on my dvd player, the picture sometimes stops and then moves, i.e sometimes the frames freeze for a fraction of sec, and then it starts to move, this happens all the time in the entire movie, I followed the turorial for dvd ripper, dvdx and then nero, is there anything I am doing wrong? I dont know, I am new to this thing, and cant figure it out, can someone help me, please?

It is probably the disc - try a different one or brand. Also make sure you burn at no more than 4x.

with what programs did you make it, tmpgenc?? What was the frame rate set at??? Sometimes people frameserve at 23.97fps and encode without 3:2 pulldown and this will cause that exact problem.

Thank you, I used DVDx 2.2 to convert the files into mpeg, I reshuffeled certain attributes and was able to get a good clean picture, now my vcd plays good with my dvd player. Thank you for answering,
Is it true that tmpgenc is best encoder?
