I am thinking about buying this DVD burner. I was wondering if its good for backing up DVD's?

Plextors are good burners. The 740 is about a year old technology wise iirc. The 760 is the latest model I believe. For the $ I lean toward the BenQ 1650 or the NEC 3550 myself. They currently sell for $35.

Edit: Sorry I read 750 as 740. Stupid me, no wonder I need glasses.
