Surely they would post a notice on the their frontpage. Wheres your source.

And beside, they own other websites, PS3,Xbox360 - hacks sites, why whould they close their most popular and large website

where does it say that they are closing.
Infact they just had a contest for a new layout not too long ago for the site.
