problem backing up my "maid in manhatten"

I have tried using dvdxcopy, dvd decrypter-dvd2one, and still get the same problem. my original dvd has dual format----wide and full screen. when i rip the movie, even using the full dvdxcopy version, i only get the wide screen version, but it is "elongated" to full screen size. Any suggestions? I have ripped several movies and never had a problem till now. thanks for any help offered. btw, i am using pioneer ao5 with ritek dvds----and until now had a perfect record---

If there is a FULL SCREEN and WIDE SCREEN choice then in DVD2One if only doing a MOVIE-ONLY back up you should come across the choice of title sets to take.
Usually there is only one and you can see this by it being the longest in time length.

What options did you choose in when DVD2One when compressing ?

I used the movie only option, and tried to pick the full screen version----but it would not let me---said i had to use the widescreen option. i then attempted another copy from my file created by dvdcrypter, using the full movie option, but it said a file was missing and would not let me do it. this is the first movie i have had this problem on----so it does have me puzzled. thanks for your input.
