FTP on a home network

Hi, I hope this post fits here. I am on a home netwrok with Windows XP.
Each computer has a static IP address. I would like to know how to set up an FTP client (I have FileZilla) so that each computer can access the other one. I realise that we should just be able to set up network drives but it seems that there is a conflict between my Home edition and the Pro edition on the other computers. I do not wish to discusss that but really would like to know how to set up the ftp software.

I figured using the FTP of the router and then some sort of sub IP option but I can't find one

Since your using a router, I would suggest you go to the manufactures web page and look for an answer. Usually, there is a FAQ or question and answer section under Tech Support that should help answer your questions.

You would have to set up an FTP Server on the PC that you want to transfer files to and from. Then you should be able to access it from the other pc with any ftp program.

War is a pretty good free FTP server daemon

http://www.serv-u.com/
Serv-U is probably the easiest to set up but it is not free, a trial is available though
