Hello,

I have been using DVD Decryptor and DVD Shrink for quite a while. I have it installed on three different machines. However, when burning on my laptop (using a Samsung TS-L532M DVD burner), the finished result will not play in neither of my Panasonic DVD players. Two odd things:

- When using the same burning programs/versions and same pack of disks on the two other computers, no problems. They work just fine on the DVD players.
- The disks burned on my laptop work fine in my laptop - just not on the external players.
- The burned disks from my laptop have worked fine in other people's (none of them Panasonic) players.

Any ideas? This just seems really odd... seems like disks burned from this specific burner are not compatible with the two DVD players I have. Just wondering if anyone has heard of this before...

Thanks!

Could simply be s firmware issue. Also, your laptop's dvd burner might not like the media (possibly related to firmware). Do you have a log you can post from a burn attempt on the laptop?

Hello wnyx1440.

Yes it's very possible.

What brand, type, and speed of media did you use in the laptop? At what speed did you burn? Do you know the firmware version of your burner?

If you load a blank disk into DVD Decrypter in ISO Write mode and look in the right side window there's some info that would be helpful.

The top line is the exact name of your dvd burner followed by a 3 or 4 letter/number firmware version. What is on the top line of the righthand window of DVD Decrypter?

Down further on the right side is the line header: Disk ID:. What is the disk ID as shown by DVD Decrypter?
