Hi there.
I've got a problem /w00t?!^^)
Some time ago somebody here said you have to replace prx files to get some games running via ISO. This guy has posted a link, where you could get them. Sadly, that link isnt valid anymore. I want to get Brothers in Arms D-Day running, I get to start it via UMD, bu then it freezes. So if i got those prx files replaced i the ISO, it should work, right? Damn, I need them. Where do I get them now?

Thx in advance

n0maduk edit your post so you don't double post.(why did you update?)
you could have a 1.5 now.(2.6-->1.5)or(2.6-->2.71-->1.5)
you can not do anything with a 2.81+ psp.

4nc3st0r you do not need a prx fix for any new games.(that was for the old iso loaders)
you can use DHv46(with hybrid FW)
or DHv51.01(3.01 FW)
or 3.02 OE-B FW(you need a 1.5 psp to update)
Go here and look for all you need http://www.psp-haxors.com/
and in the forum there is a hybrid FW thread.

That was a nice guide, just having a small problem..
I downloaded some iso's off of a torrent site, and I'm not sure what folder to put them in? the ISO in my psp via usb folder?
Then, how do I play?
Also, I got the msg " new hardware found: psp type B " or something,
And when I tried to follow those steps, my " wizard " via the hardware installer page..with the connection, etc is not there..

I have psp v1.50 with devhook emulator firmware 3.02 and I CAN play new games in UMD, BUT NOT THE ISO.

Just want to know what are the programs to rip UMD.

Thanks in advance

nice guide amitguru. I'm a new psp owner. started with fw2.71 ta-082 and successfully downgraded to 1.5 I followed your guide and it all makes sense except the USBHOST part. Once i connect my psp to PC, it prompts me to install the new hardware.

it doesn't say PSP type B. and when i search for the driver manually and locate it, it says that it couldn't install it and i should use the install CD. it allows me to search and click on the appropriate folder "drivers" but it just tells me it couldn't do it. I searched alot but no one has specified how that problem was solved. Can someone advise on what to do?

i have a magicgate 4 gig stick. Windows XP

On another note, will formatting my MS with devhook in it over and over brick or screw up the PSP?

thanks and sorry if there was a solution to this, i have been searching for quite some time.

I have the same problem as well.... I used to get the 'FOUND NEW HARDWARE' ---> 'psp type b' but now I get the found 'USB drive', but same result as above... I have searched everywhere and could not find an answer to this solution. I even re-installed Windows from scratch. (I even found one person having the same prob). Ooh boy.

Exact same issue here.. no "PSP Type B", only "USB device" when the hardware wizard does appear (also listed in device manager in system under "other devices" with a yellow ?)

so it IS the downgrade that messed that up, my PC osnt recognizing my psp either since i downgraded. and btw dont try upgarding back up in hope of something chnaging, i stupidly upgraded all the way back up to 3.03 after a downgrade and it still shows up as a "REMOVABLE DRIVE"
maybe wes should contact sony and ask what to do with out disclosing the fact that we downgarded to begin with.

ok guys, i have searched, but am a lil at a loss here. i'm running a 1.5 with devhook .51 and my question is, can i run ISO/CSOs from an external HD? i have a small 25 GB HD, and would LOVE to be able to put on all the games a play and now have to keep switching trhem via cards (deleting and readding sucks). and one other question, does anyone else have a problem with devhook sometimes freezing on them? other than being a pain in the azz it does no dammage, is just a bit frustrating at times. thanks for the help in advance guys!

1.5 and PROUD of it.

You can uninstall the driver and use the driver comes in the Extreme Link v1.31 package. If it doesn't work, try use another usb port.

how could you say that extreme link makes it any better? it doesn't! problem is that psp now registers as USB Device (maybe because of idchanger in the ta-82 downgrade-process). This needs to be fixed, couldn't be done by just changing the device name in the psp.inf.

I don't have a TA082. I just uninstalled the driver and plugged in the PSP and installed the driver which came with Extreme Link. Everything worked fine.

that's what I'm talking about. all the guys (including me) habving the problem with the driver have downgraded a ta-82 with the idchanger program from dark_alex. after that it doesn't register as "PSP type B" anymore, but as "USB Device". And for this the driver is not working (see my post above).
