Hey Hex,
I downloaded 2.71 to my psp and the instructions say to go to the photo menu and there should be a red screen. I didn't get the red screen. I tried about 5 or 6 times. Should I try to install 2.71 again? What should I do? Thanks!

keep running it until it happens. the exploit is unstable and doesnt execute properly everytime, dont worry tho it doesnt increase chances of bricking.

My psp is running on 3.03OE-C and it worked great for a week or two now.
But now when I select the usb connection from the system menu, everything hangs and I had to cold reset my psp. It keeps happening everytime! Is it a brick???
Btw, I tried going into recovery mode, selected to run the eboot.pbp from the recovery directory in my memory stick, then the whole screen went black with only the green light on. Does this mean my recovery failed?! HELP

A lil bit of.......READING goes a long way. Someone did something almost exactly like that. U prolly have a partial brick, recovery didnt work because you dont have recovery files installed..........this is where my winstaller for recovery files come into place.

I still can't get 1.5 downgraded on my psp. I downloaded 2.71 downgrader from psp-hack and saved it to my pc. I ran it to my psp. Followed the easy directions and when i go to the photo menu it shows zero photo files and freezes and goes black. I have restarted it a ton of time. Is my only option just to keep doing it over and over and eventually it will take. I looked in the memory stick and the files are there. Any advice?? Thanks!! I will get this thing figured out one day!!

whats the difference between the 3.10 OE-A installer and the 3.03?
i installed the 3.10 ( had 1.5version) can i run ISO's now?
what folder do i put them on? help plz

Since I have 2.50 do I first need to upgrade to 2.71 then downgrade from 2.71 to 1.5??? or can I go straight from 2.50 to 1.5?

Hey, i seem to be having a slight problem with FW 3.03 OE-C & X-Flash V18k. It keeps booting me off the program once booted also i had to reboot psp and hold down "R" then change the configuration back to 1.50 before X-Flash would even boot, is this normal ?

thats odd if u even got it to boot because it shouldnt. it only supports to 3.03 OE-C I believe.

lol lucky me :D If its not ment to work on this FW version how do i go about customising my PSP such as chaging bootscreens, icon's, Wallpaper (flashed) etc.

replacing them with custom ones via advanced options in recovery mode...u can mount flash0 over usb and overwrite files...copy new ones..stuff like that.

Wow, official? You cant. Not until someone makes a 3.11 downgrader, you use it, then get custom firmware.

Hi i updated my psp to 2.80 so i could play a game that works with that and now i want to upgrade to 3.03 or 3.10 but how do i downgrade to 1.5 first? thanks alot and sry for being so n00b :P

I downloaded 2.71 se-c and I'm trying to install it, but when I goto the game menu and click on the install icon it goes to the yellow psp startup screen then it goes black. Any suggestions?
Also there are four icons in the game menu.
First - corruted data
Second - devhook0.4x
Third - 2.71 se-c firmware install
Fourth - corupted data
The instructions say to do the install first.

Hi, I installed the Wininstaler with 3.03 OE-C FW, i runned a game and i got an error: the game could not be started (80010002). Can anybody pls help me?

Hi, ofcourse I need a little bit of help...
So I have a PSP 1.50 and want to go on 3.03 OEC.
The main reason for this is because on my 1.50 with Devhook 0.49 I can't play "Metal Gear - Portable ops".
-If I upgrade to 3.03 OEC will I be able to play that ISO.
-And if I want to go back to 1.50 can I do this and how???
-Is there anything that I need to know before I go to update from 1.50 to 3.03_OEC (like if I can't have a UMD in my PSP, or anything similar).
Please, am little paranoid of doing all this...
Any help much apreciate...

Thanks Hexit so much ... from the replies.. i can see you really help lots of people..
Anyway, i just want to find out that is Winning Eleven 10 - Pro Evolution Soccer 2007 supported in version 3.10OE-A or not?
Everytime i launch this game, it just show blank and i have to take out the battery to restart my PSP. I've tried to enabled/disabled the UMD but still failed.
Please help. Thanks.

hey hex, my psp is now in 3.03 oec, but when 20%power left it autoblack screen, hold the powerkey for couple sec then it will shutdown, if turn on blackscreen and green light power, only charge the power to 20% more then the psp will work. the mohterboard is the first editon,( no words on mb when look throu the umd slot). is it normal? if not anyway to fix it?

Neuroza: 1 if you install 3.03 oe-c yes you can play metal gear opps theres only one iso im havin problems with and thats clank and rachet all new isos work ie warriors sid meiers pirates
2 you can go back to 1.5 but why would you want to????
3 yes you can run original umds
