I never noticed before I started having problems but all my burns have a cloudy layer at the very end of the disc. I upgraded to this firmware 1.31 that allows you to burn at 2X. Please help... is it my media, program, burner or...?

I used search "cloudy burns" and nothing came up. Any help would greatly be appreciated. I started having problems with DVD-r Movies. I burned 4 and they worked fine, it was not until I burned more that I started having freeze ups at the very end. I burned at 1X and 2X . Desperately need feedback.

It sounds like you've updated firmware to Pioneer 104 [by mistake]

I have a Pioneer 104 and that's the f/w I am currently on.

This is the best Pioneer 105 f/w mate: )
