Well, don't know what the problem could be. I checked the connection multiple times on the BIOS chip, but I keep getting a red light on the test panel and subsequently BSOD when I try to power the system on. Boots fine when I take the modchip out. Checked all the pins, and they look fine. I've tried covering the chip(s) with tape, not covering it with tape.. and I'm booting with just the motherboard exposed, so pressure is not a concern... Can't figure out why that red "N" light is on, and why the system won't boot! getting to be really frusterating. Only thing I can think of is the oxydation that the manual mentions, but do not know how to go about this process as the manual does not go into enough detail about it. What should I do??

Disconnect all bios wires and check for bridges. Give the bios area a clean up with some de-solder braid (even if you can't see any bridges, also, test for bridges with a MM, they are not always visible to the naked eye). If you are testing boot with the mobo in it's casing, try booting with mobo outside of it's casing. It may be a grounding problem so check your GND points also. Before re-soldering the bios wires, try booting the machine with them disconnected and see if it errors. If not, proceed to re-solder the bios wires.
