I was all set to go and pick up a 2gb sandisk memory stick tomorrow, when I see this shit! http://www.memorystick.com/en/events/ces2006/exhibit.html
(SCROLL DOWN)
My question is, should I wait for the 4gb or even the 8gb shown on this page? How much compressed movie length can fit on a 2gb, a 4gb or an 8gb? Help me out people.
That's all. BITCH! lol....

I myself have a 2 gig mem stick, and it holds more than i ever need at 1 time. All types of roms, a couple iso's ass well as 50 mp3's. The 4 gig stick is still a bit pricey, and i know u can find a 2 gig stick for $60 bucks if u look around. Bought mine on Ebay for $70 including shipping. U can buy two 2 gig sticks at that price and spend less than the cost of a 4 gig stick.

Go buy the 2 Gig stick. The 4 Gig is gonna be like $220, but the 2 Gigs are falling in price.

@ svtstang: Have you tried movies? And can you give me a quick rundown of the whole iso thing? I have heard it so much but do not comprehend it. Thanks.

ISO's are images of a game. Kind of like when u backup a movie or game, its the data that is created when u rip the DVD, but in this case, when u rip a UMD. Iso's are nice cause u can stick them on the mem stick, and not have to worry about carry UMD'd around, cause thats a pain in the arse.

Okay, this is going to sound pretty dumb, but when it comes to the whole PSP hacking scene, I am pretty much useless: if it is just an image, how do you hear the sound and play it and stuff? And also, how do you rip the UMD in the first place? More to the subject, how do I get that stuff to work on my PSP?
That's all. BITCH! lol....

An image is just a term meaning it is a copy of the original in a form that can be used to recreate the original, and in this case, it can be put on a mem stick and played just as if it were in its original form. The PSP has many different tools u can use to dump UMDs(meaning put the contents of the UMD on ur hard drive) as well as loaders that allow u to play the iso's on ur psp.
One big thing though, u need a 1.5 to take advantage of playing iso's.

Wow, holy shit that sounds complicated. Would I be able to downgrade a 2.6 version PSP? What are the drawbacks of doing this?
That's all. BITCH! lol....

u cannot at this time downgrage a 2.6, but there is a mod chip coming out soon that will give the 2.6 the capabilities to play iso's just like a 1.5. Its not that complicated, once u get the hang of the different programs and how they work, its easy sailing;)

I have a 2gb memory stick and can fit 2 1 1/2 hour movies on there.I forgot one thing though. If I format my memory card will the card lose memory? When I formatted my 30mb card I'm not sure if it stayed at 30mb or if it went down a meg or so.Right now without formatting my memory card it has 1939mb so will formatting decrease the memory?

Foramtting ur card shouldnt cause extra memory loss, but will of course delete anything of the stick b4 formatting it.
