Hello hammergs.

Do you mean your computer actually turned itself off or do you mean the computer/program crashed?

If it's the former, it may be that your computer overheated.

Have you been able to restart your computer right away or did you have to wait a bit before it would boot back up?

I would agree. It sounds like overheating may have been the cause. If not DVDFab could have sucked up all of your virtual mem and crashed your comp. That normally comes with a BSOD though and not a shutdown. But Windows can be a strange beast. Are you using a laptop or a desktop?

Some people are a lot like slinkies. They aren't really good for anything but you can't help laughing when one tumbles down the stairs.

If you're using a desktop, take the case cover off and put a fan on it if you have one available.

How much memory do you have installed?

How much hard drive space is available?

I suppose it's also possible you're crashing a low level driver which is bringing the system down.
