New Dashboard Update and Firmware Hack

Well the xbox live updates have been released, the dredded end to the firmware hack is upon us... or is it?
There have been numerious reports of people verifying their ability to go on live with the hack. It seems there is no secure way right now to fix the hack, as exposing a method of flashing via the dashboard would prove more usefull for hackers.
MS is biting the pillow right now, but hey, its the game companies that really suffer. MS is selling consoles, and making money because of this hack - i know its the reason i bought one.
I think MS is glad the firmware hack is not "easy" for some, and exposing a way of dashboard firmware flash would show a much easier method. They wont risk it.
However in the past there has been delayed bans on patches from xbox. As of right now, its hackers 1 ms 0.

I think they'll be ok for now. Not too many people are going try to do the hack, but this great news for us thinking about doing the hack. I bought a dual layer DVD burner this past sunday and I'm going to hack my firmware this week. I don't wanna try it today on 6/6/06 though. I'm just supersticious like that.

Well Memnoch the Devil was the 5th book in Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicals series. I was really those into books, but that spelling was taken on a another site. So I changed it and used it here too. I am really superstitious though. I have a bunch of things I have to do a certain way and I'll do stuff like throw a little salt over my shoulder if I spill any salt.

I've read the Chronicals but forgot the exact spelling for it, but knew ur name more then likely had to deal w/ that. i always wanted to say something, and finally brought it up now, oh happy 6.6.6 anyway.

k thanks i was kinda confused with how you worded it. sorry. but another question is what if my cousin hasnt modded his xbox yet. he has already downloaded the new udate and we are modding it right now. will the update keep him from modding it or anything like that.
(i.e. if microsoft couldnt find a way to boot the ones that already have the hack. does the update keep other people from performing the hack?)

sweet thanks. im going to go mod my cousins xbox today then. i was kinda iffy about it because he already downloaded that new update and i was questioning if the new update does anything to prevent you from modding the xbox 360. thanx now i can mod it with out being worried.

Be carefull when downloading updates, thay might be checking your systems and then later bann you from live, i haven't downloaded any updates and i won't until i'm sure nothing happens.

k i tried to do the firmware hack to my cousins xbox 360 and its not working. when we insert an original game after the firmware hack. it says please insert this disk into a xbox 360 to play it. and when we insert a backed up game, it says that it is unrecognizable. what did i do wrong?

yeah.. probably a poor choice.. no offence to poster who is modding the xbox.. but i kind of hope it does go wrong just to make an example, and hopefully deter other people from modding their xboxs..
and why do people abbreivate microsoft as m$ ? why not just ms?

Shoulda took a look at your sig CR3AT10N before piping up. Yours is way out of spec and I warned you about it in another thread.

Your sig is indeed way too big. Here's the rule main rules you need to consider,
