I have used DvdFabDecrypter a few times for Flight Plan and Fun with Dick and Jane, both time I could not get the menu's. How can I back up these newer movies (Glory Road, Underworld, Firewall) and still keep the menu?
Thanks

Hi StateQB
DVD Fab Decrypter rips the whole DVD - menus and all.
Make sure you are using the latest one too - 2.9.7.9.
What software are you using to encode & burn?
Are you picking just movie only?

Binkie,

Thank you for your reply. I am usuing .6, I will download .7 and try it.
Is it possible to get something to guide me step by step? In the past I just used Dvd Fab, then use DVD Shrink (re autor).
Thanks again for your help.

Ah when you use reauthor in Shrink you don't get the menu. There is a way to do it using a few progs - depends on on how involved you want to get. The plus is all are free. Here's a guide:
http://jsoto.posunplugged.com/guides/VobBlanker/adding_menus/index.htm

Or you can just do full disc with Shrink. On the extras make them a 'still image' to save on compression. The problem with that though is if the previews are b/4 the menu you get a bunch of still pics (can always hit menu on the remote though)

Another option or 2 :)- not free though but 21 day trial:
°Run AnyDVD in the background with Shrink. You can set an option in AnyDVD to 'remove annoying trailers & adverts' and jump to Main Menu.
AnyDVD handles all the latest copy protection. No need to rip before hand.
°CloneDVD and do movie only clicking on 'preserve menu' Clone is AnyDVD's companion - like shrink but has it's own burn engine.

Oh and you're welcome!

Binkie,

I just used DVD Fab, everything went good. Normally I would then open shrink, re author, and be done. However I want my menus.
I would prefer to just use Shrink. While on full disc, what do I do? Do I click on open files? I tried that, and nothing worked for me.
Again your help is greatly appreciated.

Yes you would click 'open files' and find the video_ts folder where DVDFab Decrypter put the files. Did you create one for DVDFab to use?
Here's 2 pics that may help:
